My Custom PC Build
I’ve got to the point where my workflow would benefit from a powerful PC build.
In between video editing, digital marketing, renders and photography, it’s quite useful having access to a Windows system and powerful build alongside the 14” M1 MacBook. Plus, gaming is far superior on the PC obviously!
So, here’s my first custom PC build in well over a decade. Back then, I almost fried my CPU during the build because I forgot the thermal paste. Rookie mistake, I know.
This build was really different. Other than the fact I was cinematically filming the process in between building, the components have changed so much over the years. Typical SATA hard drives are now 1/10th the size, known as M.2 SSD drives and graphics cards are almost the size of the entire case now.
The build has been a worthwhile investment though, renders in Blender are 2x faster than my already fast M1 MacBook and it’s running maxed out games silky smooth – COD Vanguard, Warzone and CS:GO. Yet to throw more graphically intense games at it though – if you have any recommendations, please let me know!
Anyway hope you enjoy the video and if you’re interested, the full component list is in the video description.

OK I finally caved and bought an iPad. I haven’t used one in years, I never found a need for one.
But an iPad Air with an M1 processor at sub $1K? Sign me up, I had to try it out.
So after a month, here’s my full review of the iPad Air 5 and how I integrate it on my desk.

Horizon 8K Wallpaper Pack
So in the iPad video, I had a lot of questions about the wallpaper I’ve been using:
It’s a custom-made wallpaper I’ve created in Blender + Lightroom and I’ve decided to share it for those who want it in its full 8K glory.
So if you’d like to freshen your desktop, you can find it the wallpaper pack here:

Singapore Snaps
It’s pretty amazing how many DMs I’ve received saying they’ve been influenced by my Fuji X100V review video to get one of their own. Sometimes I forget the influence my videos have.
I love posting up more Fuji photography when I do get the time to and here are some snaps from my most recent trip to Singapore.
Let me know which is your favorite (1–5): https://www.instagram.com/p/CcW8JBOviGd/

Understanding the AI Hype Let’s talk AI for a moment. Because I feel like it’s so grossly misunderstood and its hype is confusing. If you used Google Translate, Apple Siri or even a robot vacuum cleaner, these are all elements of AI that we know and love. So in fact, you and I have been using AI for a while! It’s not like AI has suddently arrived is becoming the Singularity (a hypothetical future where technological growth becomes uncontrollable). But the trend a decade ago was to hide the AI...
Today’s Newsletter Partnered With ClearVPN 2 Living The Best Life I’ve been thinking about how I want to live life and best use my time. The easiest way to break down life is into categories: Relationships Work & Finances Health Learning Mental Wellbeing Over the last half year, I’ve been consumed by work – putting in countless hours, weekends and not drawing a line. I’ve been over indexing on work. Recently I’ve taken time to balance the life categories, where I’d choose to work late nights...
