The Importance of Travel

Over the last couple months, I’ve traveled across a few countries for a couple video projects and for fun and it reminds me why I love traveling so much:
I love learning and exploring – learning and exploring new foods, cultures, hobbies and activities is a thrill and it’s a reminder that we don’t just learn from textbooks and our careers.

It reminds you of what’s important in life – which is living a full and fulfilling life whatever that means to you. I’ve seen this in the little things while traveling and seeing how others live their lives, which more often than not is simple and serene. Life is short, and it’s important to be reminded of what’s important and not to be stuck in the weeds.

It helps you work smarter, not harder – it’s easy to be sucked into the void of the grind, money and your career. Traveling has always been a breath of fresh air to me and a break from the routine. Instead of losing days and weeks to travel, I find my work output to be higher when I return from travel.

You become cultured – the world is a big place, and it’s begging to be explored! We can only learn so much confined to our hometown. I truly have seen and experienced so much more than I could’ve ever imagined by visiting new countries and it’s fuelled my work and personal life.

So I urge you to take the time and money to travel and explore the world. You’ll always come back a richer person in every sense of the word.

What’s In My Travel Bag

To be well traveled is to be well packed.

There are quite a few essential items I always take with me when I travel – you can check out what’s in the bag in the video above.

Travel Photography

One of my other favorite pastimes is taking a good camera with me and snapping moments across the world.

There’s something about capturing a moment in a foreign world from the perspective of a camera lens. So simple yet ethereal.

So naturally, a good camera is a must in the travel bag.

The camera I’ve been obsessed with is the Fuji X100V as you probably already know and you can find my snaps here @aez.photos

Giveaway: Smart Camera Hub

Just a reminder there’s a week left to nab Aqara’s G3 Camera Hub.

You can enter the giveaway right here.

Good luck!

🌾 Link Harvest – a curated list of useful things

LARQ Filtered Bottle – I’ve been obsessed with this sleek filtered UV bottle while travelling.

StudioNeat – A stationary brand I’ve recently found. A lot of Japanese inspiration in their Mark One pens and notepad in my opinion.

The WOWCube – Such a nifty gadget. It’s a one-of-a-kind device in the shape of a cube made of 8 connected cubicle modules that allow you to interact with the digital world like it is a real object.

List of Travel Hacks – Decent segmented list of useful travel tips and hacks for the frequent traveler.

Guide to NFTs – Jury is still out on the true value of current NFTs, but in the meantime, here’s a great, short guide to NFTs by Decrypt.

It’s easier than ever to chase your passion and it’s also more wanted than ever. Who doesn’t want to make money from what they love doing? We've all heard it before: "If you do what you love, you'll never work a day in your life." Yet, during the call we both realized our friends or acquaintances who have transformed their passions into successful...

Understanding the AI Hype Let’s talk AI for a moment. Because I feel like it’s so grossly misunderstood and its hype is confusing. If you used Google Translate, Apple Siri or even a robot vacuum cleaner, these are all elements of AI that we know and love. So in fact, you and I have been using AI for a while! It’s not like AI has suddently arrived is becoming the Singularity (a hypothetical future where technological growth becomes uncontrollable). But the trend a decade ago was to hide the AI...

Today’s Newsletter Partnered With ClearVPN 2 Living The Best Life I’ve been thinking about how I want to live life and best use my time. The easiest way to break down life is into categories: Relationships Work & Finances Health Learning Mental Wellbeing Over the last half year, I’ve been consumed by work – putting in countless hours, weekends and not drawing a line. I’ve been over indexing on work. Recently I’ve taken time to balance the life categories, where I’d choose to work late nights...
